Heuristic Evaluation
Identifying Usability Problems
Performed an assessment of 4 of the main applications in order to identify any problems associated with the design and usability of the user interface. This review was based on both Jakob Nielse's 10 usability heuristics principles as well as the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), and with the help of a custom-made Excel worksheet and formulas.
The goal of a heuristic evaluation is to analyze a product and highlight good and bad practices, visualize the current state of the product, provide quick feedback, suggest the best corrective measures, and determine the impact of redesigning individual elements on the overall UX and product roadmap.
